Passing Along Kindness

Hello everyone! I hope your week is going well. It’s cold and raining here today, and that’s fine. We are enjoying this Fall weather!

Mom worked on her Fall garden yesterday. We also planted some mint out at my office. It was a busy day. Mom is also training me to feed the goats and chickens so I can take care of them when she’s out of town.

Please watch my friends at 1000s of Roots and subscribe to their channel. They are a really neat family and have big plans for the future of their homestead. I highly recommend their channel!

Back to Amish Country

Hello everyone! I hope your week is going well. As I type this post, it’s hot here, but tomorrow we are expecting Fall temperatures. I’m so ready!

This past Friday and Saturday my mom and I and Miss Priss found ourselves on an unexpected trip back to Ethridge, TN Amish Country. My grandparents, who are 85 and 86, asked us to drive them on their annual Fall trip to Amish Country.

We had a great trip. We bought all kinds of goodies from the Amish. I think my grandparents had 4 or 5 boxes of tomatoes. The vehicle was packed with our purchases. Since Mom and I had just been there in September, we didn’t buy a lot. We got some jellies and maple syrup, along with some treats which included Amish bread, fried pies, and peanut butter fudge. Yes, I ate such terrible foods. Their stuff is delicious! I only indulge while supplies last. Lol. It will probably be next year before I get anymore of that stuff.

I really enjoy going to Ethridge. We hope to go back some time and spend 3 or 4 days there. The nearest town is Lawrenceburg and we want to do some shopping there. They have a Kroger, which if you know me, you know Kroger is my store. So, I would like to check theirs out. It’s just a neat place.

My next trip, as far as I know, is to the Homestead Fair in Waco, TX. That will be in November. I’m excited about that! We enjoy the seminars, food, and especially the music. I highly recommend this event. It is held at Homestead Heritage and is one of the highlights of my year.
